Goat Funded Trader
Disclosure score 92/100 — Fully documented. This measures how much Goat Funded Trader publishes about its own rules on the pages we have verified. It is not a judgement of whether the firm is good, and a low score can simply mean we have not read enough of its site yet.
How the 92/100 breaks down
Every weight is published. Add the right-hand column and you get the score — no hidden weighting, no editorial adjustment. If you disagree with a line, you can say exactly which one.
| Criterion | Weight | Awarded | What it means here |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily loss limit fully specified | 15 | 15 | Percentage, basis, whether it is measured on balance or equity, and the reset time. All four, or partial credit. |
| Maximum loss limit fully specified | 15 | 15 | Percentage, static or trailing, and the reference point it trails from. |
| Consistency rule formula published | 12 | 12 | The formula, not just the percentage. An explicit “no consistency rule” scores full marks. |
| Payout terms fully specified | 15 | 13 | Split, frequency, profitable-day requirements and minimum amounts, for every cycle offered. |
| Soft-breach rules disclosed | 10 | 10 | Profit deductions, warning systems and split reductions that cost money without closing the account. |
| Legal entity identified | 10 | 10 | Entity name, jurisdiction and company registration number. |
| Regulator or licence disclosed | 8 | 4 | A named regulator and licence number, or a clear statement that there is none. |
| Restricted countries named | 8 | 8 | The actual list, not a generic clause about unlawful jurisdictions. |
| Rule changes dated and traceable | 7 | 5 | Changes carry effective dates and state whether existing accounts are affected. |
| Total | 100 | 92 |

Soft breaches — where money disappears without the account closing
Goat Guard. Combined floating loss on open positions reaching 2% of the initial account size — a fixed dollar amount that never grows with the balance — triggers it. The first trigger sends an email, leaves positions open and the account active, and cuts the profit split to 50%. A second trigger on a changed set of positions closes the account. Applies to funded accounts other than Instant. Separately, funded profit above the $3,000 daily cap is deducted without a breach, and news-window profit above 1% of initial balance is removed without a breach.

Soft breaches — where money disappears without the account closing
Goat Guard applies on the funded account exactly as on 2-Step Standard: 2% combined floating loss on the initial size, first trigger cuts the split to 50% without a breach, second trigger closes the account. Funded profit above the $3,000 daily cap is deducted without a breach.

Effective 2026-07-25Payout New accounts only 2-Step Standard — funded stage
- Before
- 3 trading days at 0.5% or more per payout; first two payouts capped at 6% of initial size on every account
- After
- 4 trading days at 0.5% or more per payout; on $5K accounts the first-two-payout cap drops to 4%
Two tightenings on the same date, both scoped to accounts purchased from that day. The smallest account size takes the extra cut.

Who you are actually contracting with
Most firms split the simulated-trading operator from the execution entity. Which entity you face can depend on the platform you pick, and that changes your counterparty risk. Nobody else puts this in a comparison.

Questions about Goat Funded Trader, answered from the record
How is the Goat Funded Trader daily loss limit calculated?
On 2-Step Standard, the daily loss limit is 5% of the higher of the previous day’s closing balance or closing equity, measured on balance or equity, resetting at 5:00 PM EST. That basis is the part most comparison tables leave out, and it changes the dollar floor from day two onward.
Is the Goat Funded Trader maximum drawdown static or trailing?
Static floor: 10% from initial balance on 2-Step Standard. The floor is set once and does not move as the account grows.
Does Goat Funded Trader have a consistency rule?
No. Goat Funded Trader publishes an explicit statement that no consistency rule applies to 2-Step Standard.
Has Goat Funded Trader changed rules retroactively?
Not on our record. 3 rule changes logged for Goat Funded Trader, none applied to accounts that already existed.
What is the Goat Funded Trader disclosure score?
92/100, computed from nine published criteria with published weights. It measures how much Goat Funded Trader publishes about its own rules, not whether the firm is good.
