E8 Markets
Disclosure score 63/100 — Partially documented. This measures how much E8 Markets publishes about its own rules on the pages we have verified. It is not a judgement of whether the firm is good, and a low score can simply mean we have not read enough of its site yet.
How the 63/100 breaks down
Every weight is published. Add the right-hand column and you get the score — no hidden weighting, no editorial adjustment. If you disagree with a line, you can say exactly which one.
| Criterion | Weight | Awarded | What it means here |
|---|---|---|---|
| Daily loss limit fully specified | 15 | 12 | Percentage, basis, whether it is measured on balance or equity, and the reset time. All four, or partial credit. |
| Maximum loss limit fully specified | 15 | 7 | Percentage, static or trailing, and the reference point it trails from. |
| Consistency rule formula published | 12 | 12 | The formula, not just the percentage. An explicit “no consistency rule” scores full marks. |
| Payout terms fully specified | 15 | 6 | Split, frequency, profitable-day requirements and minimum amounts, for every cycle offered. |
| Soft-breach rules disclosed | 10 | 10 | Profit deductions, warning systems and split reductions that cost money without closing the account. |
| Legal entity identified | 10 | 6 | Entity name, jurisdiction and company registration number. |
| Regulator or licence disclosed | 8 | 0 | A named regulator and licence number, or a clear statement that there is none. |
| Restricted countries named | 8 | 8 | The actual list, not a generic clause about unlawful jurisdictions. |
| Rule changes dated and traceable | 7 | 2 | Changes carry effective dates and state whether existing accounts are affected. |
| Total | 100 | 63 |

Soft breaches — where money disappears without the account closing
On the E8 Trader account, any open, close, stop or pending-order execution from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after a restricted high-impact release has its profit removed, without an account violation. Evaluation phases have no news restriction.

Who you are actually contracting with
Most firms split the simulated-trading operator from the execution entity. Which entity you face can depend on the platform you pick, and that changes your counterparty risk. Nobody else puts this in a comparison.

Sources, and what we could not verify
| Source | Tier | Confidence | Covers | Dated |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| help.e8markets.com/en/articles/12041696-e8-classic | Tier B | MEDIUM | E8 Classic phases and targets, 4% daily and 8% maximum drawdown headline figures, 40% best-day rule, payout minimum (more than 50% of daily drawdown), news window on funded accounts, copy-trading policy, leverage. Article shows only 'Updated over a month ago' — no date. | No usable date |
| help.e8markets.com/en/articles/11769446-daily-drawdown | Tier B | HIGH | Daily drawdown mechanics: 4% of initial balance fixed in dollars, loss level = day-start balance minus that amount, reset 00:00 server time, breach on equity or balance. Anomaly: the article lists E8 One and E8 Pro as the products it applies to, yet the E8 Classic article links to it for its own daily rule. | No usable date |
| help.e8markets.com/en/articles/11782996-dynamic-drawdown | Tier B | HIGH | Dynamic drawdown (E8 One only): trails the highest closed balance, locks at the initial balance once closed profit equals the drawdown amount. | 2026-06-04 |
| help.e8markets.com/en/articles/5514278-accepted-countries | Tier B | HIGH | Restricted country lists for forex/crypto and futures, product caps by country, payout-processor restrictions. | 2026-09-06 |
| e8markets.com/e8-markets-terms-and-conditions | Tier A | HIGH | E8 Funding LLC as contracting entity, Texas law, arbitration, no-refund policy, Terms effective immediately on posting, clause 6.2: E8 may change any evaluation structure at any time without notice and 'no user shall have any vested rights in prior offerings'. Effective date printed as 11/03/2025 — US date order assumed (3 November 2025); could read as 11 March 2025. | No usable date |
