Disclosure score 83/100Well documented. This measures how much AquaFunded publishes about its own rules on the pages we have verified. It is not a judgement of whether the firm is good, and a low score can simply mean we have not read enough of its site yet.

Not found is not "does not exist" — it is where our reading stopped.

Why you can trust this page

Every figure comes from AquaFunded's own terms, rules or help pages (Tier B) or a legal document or register (Tier A); nothing from aggregators or review sites is used to state a fact. The score is nine published criteria with nine published weights — recompute it from the table below. Outbound links may earn a referral fee; they cannot move a score, a rank, or a word on this page.

How the 83/100 breaks down

Every weight is published. Add the right-hand column and you get the score — no hidden weighting, no editorial adjustment. If you disagree with a line, you can say exactly which one.

CriterionWeightAwardedWhat it means here
Daily loss limit fully specified15 10 Percentage, basis, whether it is measured on balance or equity, and the reset time. All four, or partial credit.
Maximum loss limit fully specified15 13 Percentage, static or trailing, and the reference point it trails from.
Consistency rule formula published12 9 The formula, not just the percentage. An explicit “no consistency rule” scores full marks.
Payout terms fully specified15 12 Split, frequency, profitable-day requirements and minimum amounts, for every cycle offered.
Soft-breach rules disclosed10 9 Profit deductions, warning systems and split reductions that cost money without closing the account.
Legal entity identified10 9 Entity name, jurisdiction and company registration number.
Regulator or licence disclosed8 8 A named regulator and licence number, or a clear statement that there is none.
Restricted countries named8 8 The actual list, not a generic clause about unlawful jurisdictions.
Rule changes dated and traceable7 5 Changes carry effective dates and state whether existing accounts are affected.

Soft breaches — where money disappears without the account closing

The firm publishes two different daily-loss rules and we have not resolved which is current. Its Forex Rules page says 4% measured against the previous day's highest balance or equity, reset at 00:00 UTC. The help-centre article for this product says 5% of the initial balance, subtracted from whichever of balance or equity is higher at 5 PM EST. These cannot both hold: 5 PM EST is 21:00–22:00 UTC, and a fixed slice of the initial balance is not the same thing as a slice of yesterday's high. The figures recorded here are the help-centre ones, because only the help centre ties a number to a named product. Separately, profit earned inside the five minutes either side of a high-impact release is capped at 0.5% of the starting balance per payout cycle; the excess is removed with no breach.

Permissions

News tradingRestricted window
News trading is allowed. Profit from trades opened or closed within five minutes either side of a red-folder event, including FOMC speeches and statements, is capped at 0.5% of the account's starting balance per payout cycle. Anything above the cap is removed; no violation is recorded. Accounts bought before 27 April 2026 stay on the older rule, which barred news trading on funded accounts outright.

Who you are actually contracting with

Most firms split the simulated-trading operator from the execution entity. Which entity you face can depend on the platform you pick, and that changes your counterparty risk. Nobody else puts this in a comparison.

Questions about AquaFunded, answered from the record

How is the AquaFunded daily loss limit calculated?

On 2 Step Standard, the daily loss limit is 5% of the higher of opening balance or opening equity, measured on equity, including floating P/L, resetting at 17:00 EST. That basis is the part most comparison tables leave out, and it changes the dollar floor from day two onward.

Is the AquaFunded maximum drawdown static or trailing?

Static floor: 8% from initial balance on 2 Step Standard. The floor is set once and does not move as the account grows.

Has AquaFunded changed rules retroactively?

Not on our record. 1 rule change logged for AquaFunded, none applied to accounts that already existed.

What is the AquaFunded disclosure score?

83/100, computed from nine published criteria with published weights. It measures how much AquaFunded publishes about its own rules, not whether the firm is good.
